Lengyelországban jártunk / Trip to Poland

Megismerkedtünk az iskola igazgatónőjével, tanáraival, diákjaival. Jártunk Nowy Sacz főterén, és eljutottunk Stary Sacz-ban is. Megtekinthettük a gyönyörű tájat egy kilátóból. Elvittek minket egy zarándokhelyre is, ahol 1999-ben II. János Pál Pápa tartott misét. Ott egy múzeum is őrzi ennek az eseménynek az emlékét. Jártunk a Szent Kinga által alapított klarissza kolostorban is, ami szintén Stary Saczban van és a XIII. század óra üzemel.
December 12-én aláírtuk a két Gimnázium közötti partneri megállapodást. Ez nemcsak a két város közötti testvérvárosi kapcsolatot is erősíti, de a diákok találkozását, barátkozását is segíti. Tervezzük, hogy a lengyel iskola csapata részt vesz a 2018 januárjában Kiskunhalason megrendezésre kerülő Szilády Kupán, majd tavasszal a mi diákjaink mehetnek Nowy Sacz-ba.
Nagyon örülünk ennek a lehetőségnek. Mindkét iskola vezetése elkötelezett a kapcsolat szorosabbá tételében. Tervezzük közös kutatási projektek végrehajtását és hosszabb diákcserék megszervezését is.

The delegation of our school travelled to Maria Konopnicka High School in Nowy Sacz Poland between 11th and 13th December.
We had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Head Teacher, and with teachers and students of the High school. We saw the Main Square of Nowy Sacz, and made a visit to Stary Sacz. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the whole area from a mountain viewpoint. We were also shown a pilgrimage spot where Pope John Paul II celebrated a mass in 1999. There we saw the museum commemorating the event. We also visited the Clarissan Monastery founded by Saint Kinga, also situated in Stary Sacz, where a 13th century clock still shows the time.
On 12th December we signed a Partnership Agreement between our schools, whose aim is to strengthen sister-town relationships between our respective towns and also to facilitate meetings and friendship between our students. There are plans for the team of the Polish High School to take part in the Szilády Cup Sports Contest to be organised in Kiskunhalas in January 2018 – and students from Szilady Secondary Grammar School will be able to visit Nowy Sacz next spring.
We are truly glad about this opportunity. The leaderships of both schools are devoted to the further strengthening of our ties. We are planning to carry out joint research projects and to organise longer-term student exchange programmes.
